This Privacy Policy describes how ArgDay ("we", "us", "our"), a product of Cog9 Technologies, collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you use the ArgDay platform available at argday.com and related subdomains ("Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
This Policy is compliant with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and applicable Indian data protection regulations.

This is the core data you create and manage within ArgDay:
This data is entirely yours. We do not read, analyse, or share it except to deliver the Service to you.
We do not store payment card details. Billing is handled by third-party payment processors. We store only plan type, subscription status, and billing cycle information.
Most fields in ArgDay are optional. You can use the Service without providing your phone number, bar registration number, GST number, or firm details. Providing more information improves the experience but is not mandatory.
We use your data strictly for the following purposes:
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties. We do not use your legal documents to train AI models.
When you request an AI summary or use the Q&A feature, the content of the selected document is sent to a large language model (LLM) API. This processing is:
We currently use OpenAI API for AI features. OpenAI's API, when used via API key (not ChatGPT), does not use submitted data to train models by default. We have opted out of any data training arrangements. For OpenAI's data handling policy, see openai.com/policies/api-data-usage-policies.
AI features are entirely opt-in. You choose which documents to summarise. If you do not use AI features, no document content is sent to any AI provider.
We share your data only with the following sub-processors, strictly to operate the Service:
| Provider | Purpose | Data Shared |

| Supabase | Database, authentication, file storage | All platform data, stored in secure cloud infrastructure |
| OpenAI | AI document summarisation and Q&A | Document content (per request only, not retained) |
| Resend | Transactional email delivery | Email address, email content (OTP, notifications) |
| Razorpay (future) | Payment processing | Billing details (not card numbers) |
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not share data with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics companies that profile users.
We may disclose data to law enforcement or courts only when compelled by a valid legal order under Indian law, and only to the extent legally required.
Your data is stored in cloud infrastructure. We use Supabase, which stores data in secure data centres. We endeavour to select data centre regions closest to India where available.
In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in risk to your rights or freedoms, we will notify affected users within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, as required under applicable law. We will also notify the relevant regulatory authority where required.
You can request deletion of your account and data at any time. See Section 9 for your rights.
